The group was formed in Calabasas, California City in 1992, Brandon Boyd classmates (vocals, percussion), Mike Ayntsigerom (guitar), Alex Katunichem, who took the pseudonym "Dirk Lance" (bass) and Jose Pasilyasom (drums). The band's popularity has increased significantly and the summer of 1998 she was invited to participate in the "Ozzfest". In the spring 2003rd came the news that bassist Dirk Lance left the band. However, a few days later a vacancy was filled buddy Eisinger and former member of The Roots Ben Kenney.
